Our standard lamps and components as well as customized products offer high-quality solutions to meet our partner’s unique needs. Please contact us for more information.
Another critical component to the overwhelming success of the LightSources group is Cerlux, which is a specialty manufacturer of custom ceramic components. They bring to our group the engineering and manufacturing expertise to design and fabricate proprietary end fittings and matching sockets. This means we are able to offer proprietary and patented base solutions to both small and large OEMs that give them a competitive edge in their respective markets.
Cerlux’s custom designed lamp caps with matching socket provide germicidal, specialty and tanning lamp industries highly individualized solutions. When you are a client, our experienced team will work with you each step of the way including determining the best material to use based on your application environment. Factors considered during the design process include Al2O3 content, wear and heat resistance, insulation capacity and color.
To produce our custom ceramic components, we most commonly use press injection molding, which allows us to create products with complex shapes and thin walls. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing operations mean we can offer the highest quality products while still keeping prices competitive.
Our products are fired in both, electric or natural gas operated furnaces of 1-2 m3, at 1.0000C or 1.60000C. The fired glazing increases material strength and creates bright, aesthetic surfaces that are recommended to best protect the surfaces of ceramic products. While the most commonly requested color is white mat or shiny, we offer all colors in the RAL or pantone palette.
Cerlux as well as the rest of the LightSources group is proud to report that we constantly evaluate our impact on the environment and have implemented long-term goals in terms of recycling, reusing and reducing waste. A prime example is how we recycle the heat from the kiln to produce hot water and heat our entire office and manufacturing buildings. Please see our website for further information regarding our custom lamp products.
LightSources and our affiliated companies represent the leading high-tech designers and manufacturers in the lamp industry today. Our products are used world-wide in a multitude of applications and industries such as our avionic display backlighting that is part of the National Defense and US Space Program. LightSources along with our European partner, LightTech are one of the most experienced and fastest-growing tanning lamp manufacturers in the world. Our lamps set the industry standards with superior performance and a longer life span. Furthermore, as a global operation, we are up-to-date on the specific standards and requirements which differ in the many countries we serve and work to exceed them at every opportunity.
Our portfolio includes our proprietary A-PowerTM, SolGlass® and Peak2 Technology® as well as the Combi, Dual, and Tri-phosphor tanning lamps. Knowing that tanning requirements vary from person to person, we were one of the first to offer a selection of tanning lamp strengths from 2.6UVB – 9.5UVB to guarantee there were a selection of choices for different customer preferences and skin types. Our tanning strengths are attained by varying the amounts of UVA and UVB in the lamp. This creates a range of lamps that are appropriate for people who always burn right through to those that never burn and are deeply pigmented.
The LightSources and LightTech’s proprietary A-Power™ technology gives high pressure effects to low pressure tanning lamps. These new lamps now make it easier for more tanning salons to offer the type of tan that in the past only salons operating with high pressure tanning units or high pressure facial tanning lamps could provide.
Another example of our industry leading innovations is SolGlass™, which represents the most technological advances in tanning since the sun. SolGlass™ is the combination of new glass technology and our proprietary phosphor blend with narrow-band UVA for immediate coloring and short-wavelength UVB for persistent pigmentation. In other words it provides both instant gratification and long lasting results. This technology is not found in any other lamp in the industry. Please see our website to learn more about our exclusive tanning lamp technology that includes Peak2®, Twist/Swirl, proprietary bases and MultiTone™.

As part of the LightSources group, LCD Lighting, Inc. is the leading supplier for commercial, military and private avionics backlighting. We are proud to be a long-time partner and sole manufacture of the AMLCD lamps that illuminate the cockpit control displays of Boeing’s 777, 767 and 737 aircraft. In addition we were honored to play a part in our national defense with products used in the cockpit of military aircraft as well as in the NASA’s Space Shuttles.
There are a number of outstanding features that set our backlighting apart from other manufacturers. LCD Lighting offers the highest luminance, lowest power, longest life, widest dimming range and best uniformity. Our backlights also deliver the perfect color temperature °K. By offering efficient multiple bend lamp configurations used to backlight LCDs/AMLCDs, our sub-miniature CCFL fluorescent lamps are designed and engineered with the most advanced state-of-the-art technology. In our unique Lamp Sub-Assemblies (LSA), the backlight lamp is mounted and wired into the backlight housing.
The AMLCD backlight technology requires custom optical light sources, filters and diffusers along with mechanical innovations such as reflective plates, trays and housing. Avionics, Vetronics and Shipboard AMLCD displays demand high brightness lamps that are uniformly dimmable, diffusible and extremely reliable. In larger displays and those with information density, the performance and backlighting requirements are increased. This is why LCD Lighting’s HCFL’s (hot-cathode fluorescent lamps) offer cost-effective solutions for the air and space industry.
We provide the industry with long life HCFL lamps in a large variety of sizes and customized shapes that deliver high intensity, superior uniformity and easily dimming capabilities. With close to three decades in the avionics lamp industry, LCD Lighting continues to bring revolutionary technological advances and extensive expertise to the field.
